  • Special school teachers help pupils grow academically, socially and emotionally, helping with additional learning need that requires extra support.
  • You can work 1:1 with young people, lead small study groups or support pupils with special educational needs and disabilities (SEND).
  • We provide free training courses to help support our teachers in special schools: including SEND, safeguarding, teaching, and learning techniques and behaviour management.
  • We like to meet all our staff personally, so interviews are conducted face-to-face or via a virtual interview with your personal consultant.
  • Teachers for special schools and special school assistants can also be known as SEND teaching assistants.

Pathway Education social events

At Pathway Education we understand the joys and challenges of being a teacher in a special schools and special school assistants. Because of that we like to reward our staff for their hard work.

  • We hold monthly socials where the first drink is always on us, where you can mingle in a friendly, inclusive environment with fellow educators.
  • Our staff can receive a £250 bonus for referring a friend or colleague (must complete a minimum of 5 daily assignments)
  • We also have a Facebook group where you can share classroom successes, let off some steam or arrange after work social events with like-minded colleagues.
